PANJIM: Sporting Clube de Goa and Salgaocar FC registered wins in their respective encounters of the Goa Football Association U20 Taca Goa football league on Monday.
While Flaming Oranje trounced Guardian Angel Sports Club 4-0, Salgaocar FC eased past Vasco SC 2-0.
At Duler Stadium, Mapusa, Sporting Clube broke the deadlock in the 10th minute through Caine Moura. The winners led 1-0 at the breather.
In the second half, Richie Vaz scored the second for the Flaming Oranje in the 50th minute and added the third in the 79th minute, thus completing the brace. Pratik Naik smashed in the fourth goal in the dying minutes of the game.
Meanwhile at Dramapur ground, the match saw both teams being reduced to 10 men which was ultimately won by the Greens.
Salgaocar FC scored the first in the 20th minute through Antush Moniz and then Richard Fernandes sealed the game for the winners in the 86th minute.
Vasco SC’s Rohan and Salgaocar’s Sydney received the marching orders for rough play.
