MAYEM: While stating that there is an acute need of infrastructure for developing sports facilities in Goa, Sports Minister Ramesh Tawadkar assured the villagers to fulfil their aspiration as early as possible.
He was addressing the gathering after laying the foundation stone for the construction of the proposed sports complex at Chorao which will be constructed at the cost of Rs. 3 crores.
Deputy speaker Anant Shet, sports director V. M. Prabhudesai, sarpanch Divya Usapkar, deputy Pandhari Vernekar, former sarpanch Premanand Mhambrey, Milind Mahale, Shankar Chodankar, panch members Rama Kubal, Vishal Acharya, Shamba Kalangutkar, Salvador Cruz, Pooja Chodankar and Aarti Bandodkar, engineer Jaikrishna Tilve were present on the dais.
Earlier, a plaque was unveiled at the hands of Tawadkar and Anant Shet. The function was compered by Deepti Palyekar while Premanand Mhambrey proposed vote of thanks.
