Football course for coaches

PANJIM: Youth coaches interested in attending a training course to be conducted by  Norman Boardman of Football Federation Australia have been asked to submit their names to the GFA Secretariat by January 24. The full-time course will BE HELD FROM January 30 to February 5.

Tie-breaker at New Vaddem

PANJIM: Cross Boys of New Vaddem will organise their 3-a-side tie-breaker football tournament on January 22 from 10 a.m. at panchayat ground, New Vaddem. The winners and runners-up will be awarded Rs. 10,000 and Rs.7,000 respectively besides other individual prizes. Sport entries will be accepted.

Lolyenkar cricket at Mashem

PANJIM: Mashem Cricket Club will organise their 30th Nanda Lolyenkar rolling trophy season ball cricket tournament from January 22. In all 12 teams – Goa Police, Sportsweek Cricket Club, Mashem ‘C’, Vijay Cricket Club, Mashem ‘B’, Iqbal XI, Pollem Cricket Club, Shiroda Youth, Mashem ‘A’, Nayal Borim, Vasco City and Margao Cricket Club will participate. The inaugural match will be played between Nayal Borim and Vasco City on January 22 at 9.30 a.m. A maximum of four outstation players will be allowed in the squad of 16 of which all four can play the playing XI.

Carrom doubles at Vasco

PANJIM: The United Youth Club will organise an all-Goa doubles carrom tournament on January 21 and 22 at Belabaim, Vasco The winners will get Rs 8001 and the runners-up Rs 4001.  The semi-final losers will get Rs 1501 each.  Details on 9326114815.
