Custodio memorial football from July 6
MARGAO: Sao Jose de Areal Sports Club will take on Navelim Sporting Club in the inaugural match of 42nd all-Goa Custodio memorial football tournament organized by Raia Sporting Club on July 6 at Manora ground.
The winners will be awarded Rs 42,000 while the runners up will receive Rs 25,000 besides trophies.

Football tourney in Valpoi

PANJIM: The all-Goa BPS major ranking badminton tournament organized by BPS Sports Club, Margao will held from July 18 to 21 at multipurpose hall, Fatorda.
Following are the categories: U-13 singles boys/girls, U-15 singles boys/girls, U-17 singles boys, U-19 singles boys/girls, singles ladies/men, men’s doubles, veterans doubles (45 years and above, 50 years and above).

Cricket book release on Saturday
PANJIM: The book `Learn to play cricket with Hemant Angle’ will be released on July 6 at 6 p.m. at the conference hall, Ravindra Bhavan, Margao.
Sportsweek Cricket Club of Margao stated that the book which is a pictorial manuel for kids has been written by Hemant Angle.
