VALPOI: The Directorate of Sports and Youth Affairs organised a sports event for the primary and middle schools in Sattari taluka, recently.
A total of five groups of primary schools were participated in the sports event. This included Honda, Valpoi, Khotodem, Keri and Thane. The Honda school group won the 2018 Primary Middle school Sports Championship.
Pratapsingh Raoji Rane said, “There is competition everywhere, these different types of competitions allow students to prepare for sports competition. All schools in Goa need top class playing grounds.”
“I will discuss the needful with Director of Sports and Youth Affairs to organise the different types of Sports camps in Goa,” he added.
Women and Child Development Minister Vishwajit Rane said, “There is a need of sports activities in Goa so that our children can participate and will give competition in state level sports. In coming days, we will give exposures to our children. Whatever is needed to develop, we will develop.”
