RAIA: Spring Boys, Mandopa, prevailed over Rebello Pandal, Maina, 5-3 to move in the quarter-finals of 4th All-Goa inter-village open football tournament organised by Davorlim Sports and Cultural Club at Davorlim Club ground, Laymati, on Thursday.
In the first session, Spring Boys scored two goals in the 5th and 20th minute through Costa. At half time break, Spring Boys lead 2-0.
Changing over, Rebello Pandal went all guns blazing out and scored two goals in the 40th and 43rd minute through Marcus.
As the game progressed, Spring Boys’ Costa completed his hat-trick with a neat placement in the 46th minute. Later on, Prestly scored twice for Spring Boys in the 48th and 56th minute. In injury time, Rebello Pandal pulled one goal back through Edwin with a fine header from the free-kick of Marcus.
