PANJIM: Srilaxmi Kamat and Shrushti Shenvi won the online chess tournament conducted for high school students of Ponda taluka schools for Group 1 (Class 8th-10th) and Group 2 (Class 5th -7th) respectively, organised by SRS Vedic Mathematics Academy, Mangueshi in association with Ponda Taluka Chess Association (PTCA).
A total of 68 players participated in the tournament with 34 each in both the groups.
The results are as follows
Group 1 ranking: 1. Srilaxmi Kamat – 7/7 pts; 2.Siddhiraj Gaunkar – 5.5/7 pts; 3.Niddhi Gaude – 5.5/7 pts; 4. Paras Popkar – 5/7 pts; 5.Narshim Nayak – 5/7 pts. All from A.J.de Almeida HS.
