RAIA: The Ponda Footballers and Sports Authority of Goa will organize the 33th St. Anne’s Festival Inter-Village Soccer in memory of Maria Anatansia Fernandes from July 15 at Animal Husbandry ground, Curti-Ponda.
Sai Avtar Anjuna, Don Bosco Oratary Fatorda, Verna SC, Goan Warriors Tivim, Raia Sporting Club, Navelim Sporting, Sinquerim SC and hosts Ponda Footballers will participate.
Ex-football player and son of late Maria A Fernandes, Vincent Paul Fernandes will inaugurate the tournament followed by Sai Avtar Anjuna and Don Bosco Oratary Fatorda match.
The finals will be played on July 30 on occasion of the feast of Patron St Anne’s. It will be preceeded by an exhibition match between North and South Goa Veterans above 60.
