CANACONA: St Anne’s Institute defeated Shri Mallikarjun Vidyalaya HS 2-1 and
emerged champions in the U-14 boys Canacona taluka Subroto Mukherjee football tournament organised by DSYA, Panjim, and held at Karvem Sports Complex, Canacona, recently.
Saivish Pagi scored the first goal for Shri Mallikarjun VHS in the early minutes of the game. Reyank Phal Dessai scored the equaliser for Shri Mallikarjun Vidyalaya High School.
In the second half Soham Fal Dessai scored the winner for St Anne’s Institute in the dying minutes of the match through a free kick.
