MAPUSA: Zeeshan Ahmed of St Anthony High School, Monte-Guirim scored an all important goal which enabled his side to defeat defending taluka champions St Joseph High School, Calangute and clinch the Bardez Taluka U-14 Subroto Mukherjee football tournament organised by Directorate of Sports and Youth Affairs, at Duler Stadium, on Wednesday.
Vallabh Mhambrey ex football coach of DYSA was the chief guest and gave away the certificates to the winners in the presence of Raghunath Sintre Judo coach of Sports Authority of Goa and Taluka sports organiser Anant Sawal. The Guirim school now qualified to play at the District level tournament.
