MARGAO: St Anthony Sports Club Assolda got the better of CDJ Ribandar 5-4 via the tie-breaker to storm into the final of the 11th Cana Benaulim Panchayat Cup Soccer tournament, organised by United Club Benaulim and played at St John Baptist ground, Dando-Benaulim on Thursday.
There was no score at the break. Assolda scored first through Irfan in the 46th minute before Dishant equalised for Ribandar in the 56th minute. The teams were tied 1-1 at the end of the regulation time.
In the resultant tie-breaker, Assolda proved to be the better shooters.
