Nerul Goalkeeper Siddesh Marje made two brilliant saves to deny Maxson and Joseph Pereira in quick succession. Colva did most of the attacking but it was Nerul who made the breakthrough against the run of play in the 20th minute as striker Anson’s cross from the right wing struck the outstretched legs of Colva defender Maxson Fernandes to enter the net. Colva managed to get the equalizer close to the halftime when Jovisco Fernandes beat Siddesh with a left placement
After resumption, Sanket netted for Nerul in a goal rush melee but Colva pressed forward to level terms and medio Nelson Gomes headed in a Ryan Fernandes flag-kick.
In the marathon tie-breaker, Colva were successful through Nelson Gomes, Maxson Fernandes, Jovisco Fernandes, Ryan Fernandes, Joseph Pereira, Keith Rodrigues, Jesus Cardozo and Baptist Fernandes.
For Nerul, the scorers were Royston Pereira, Stanley Silva, Paul Cardozo, Rajat Chopdekar, Anthony Duarte, Julius Costa and Siddesh Morje.
St Anthony SC, Colva will now clash against Curtorim Gymkhana in the semi-finals.
