SANQUELIM: St Anthony Sports Club, Marna shot-out St Augustias Sports Club, Pomburpa 5-4 via the tie-breaker to lift the 2nd Late Musa Ali Aga Memorial trophy organised by Eagles SC, at Sanquelim ground, on Sunday.
Vidhesh Sawant of Marna Siolim tried his best to score but missed the rival target by a whisker in the 22nd minute. In the first half there was no score. Both the teams played well but failed to convert any goals.
Kashinath opened the score-line for St Anthony in the 40th minute. In the 46th minute, Raju Podashi equalised for Pomburpa. The score was 1-1 at the end of regulation time. In the tie-breaker, Sangam Pednekar, Dalesh Pednekar, Sahil Pomburphekar and Richard Pereira scored for St Anthony SC, Marna while Raju Podashi, Rohan Naik and Pundalik Naik scored for St Augustias Sports Club, Pomburpa.
President of GFA Churchill Alemao was the chief guest and gave away the prizes in the presence of GFA Vice President Lavinio Rebello, Neil Monteiro, other dignitaries and club officials.
