VARCA: St Anthony SC Colva got the better of Sarzora SC 4-3 via the tie-breaker to move into the quarter-finals of the Varca Panchyat cup, at Varca ground, on Sunday.
Maxon Fernandes of Colva sent in a long ball to Baptist Fernandes but timely tackled by Alton Menezes of Sarzora in the 4th minute, this could have been the best scoring opportunity for Sarzora Merilo Ferrao who connected a will measured ball to Adriel D,Costa but Jesus Cardozo of Colva tackled his move in the 15th minute.
In the resultant tie-breaker, St Anthony SC Colva netted through Maxon Fernandes, Ashley Fernandes, Joel Rodrigues and Jerry Fernandes and for Sarzora SC Stevan Fernandes,Vincy Fernandes and Dolwin Costa.
