AVEDEM: St Anthony SC, Assolda got the better of Margao SC 4-3 via the tie-breaker and sailed into finals of the Fr. Agnel soccer,at Avedem Panchayat ground, on Sunday.
Benson Fernandes’ power packed drive missed the net of Margao in the 12th minute.
Margao too had created the best chance of the match through Necil Pinto after dribbling past a couple of rival defenders and shot from close range but Assolda keeper was equal to the task in the 49th minute.
In the tie-breaker, St Anthony SC, Assolda proved to be better shooters.
