MAPUSA: St Anthony’s SC, Marna-Siolim, advanced into the semi-finals of Candolim Panchayat Cup by registering a 4-3 win via tie-breaker over Dunes SC, Mandrem, in the match played at Candolim ground, on Tuesday.
In the 17th minute of play, Dunes SC colts goalkeeper brought a superlative save from Nathan D’Souza strike.
At the other end, three minutes later, Dunes SC’s Arun Naik shot missed the target by a few inches.
Both teams tried their best to score but failed to find the net where the results was decided via tie-breaker.
St Anthony’s SC Mayuresh Naik, Nathan D’Souza, Kashiram Pomburjekar and Sahil Pomburjekar were on target, while for Dunes SC Myson Britto, Leslee, Britto and Nehal Parab scored.
