SIOLIM: St Anthony’s SC, Marna-Siolim got the better of Saligao United 3-1 in the opening match of St. Anthony’s Rolling Cup, which is organised by St. Anthony’s Sports Club Marna – Siolim in memory of (late) Vinayak and (Late) Vilasini Fulary kicked off, at St. Anthony’s Church football ground, Siolim, on Tuesday.
From the word go, St. Anthony’s SC Marna started playing attacking football.
In the 10th minute, Mayuresh Naik scored his first goal of the match from the assist of Kashiram.
The St Anthony’s SC lads had many chances to score but they missed sitters. It was minutes before the close of first half, Dalesh Pednekar made it 2-0 for St Anthony’s SC.
In the second half, Saligao United tried hard to equalise and Craig scored to make it 2-1 for Saligao United.
In the dying minutes of the match, Mayuresh Naik scored his second goal to make it 3-1.
