MAPUSA: St Anthony’s SC, Marna registered a comfortable 2-0 win over AA de Moira in the GFA’s First Division league held at Poriat ground, here, on Monday.
Marna colts scored both the goals in the first session of play through Pushparaj Mandrekar and Vishank Dhargalkar.
After much probing St Anthony’s Videsh Sawant sent an intelligent through pass to overlapping Pushparaj who controlled the ball and banged into the back of the nylons, 1-0.
Just five minutes later once again Videsh tried to set the pass to Pushparaj who played a dummy to Vishank Dhargalkar who coolly placed the ball into the nets, 2-0.
On crossing over Moira lads coach brought Michael Dias from the bench and the Moira side were a transformed lot.
However the strikers failed to score. In the 75th minute Moira received a jolt with the sending off Prajot Kerkar who brought down Pushparaj prompting referee Deepraj Sangelkar to give him marching orders.
