DULER: St Anthony’s High School Duler booked their Delhi ticket in the Junior Nehru Hockey championship for U-17 girls after they defeated Damodar English High School Gudi Paroda 17-0 in the State final of the the tournament organised by DYSA held at Peddem sports complex here on Friday.
It was one way traffic with the girls of Duler school scored at the regular intervals. Veena Naik, Riya Harmalkar, Seema Navalgund, Pallavi Jha, Khushi Harmalkar and captain Nikita Naik all accounted for the big score.
Before the start of the finals chief guest Brother Joy MP headmaster of the St Anthony’s High School Duler, Redento D’Souza ex Deputy Director of sports department, Sunil Gawas state sports organizer from the sports department, Anant Sawal Taluka sports organizer, Alexander Remedious DSYA coach, Alliter Fernandes and Victor Albuquerque were introduced to the teams and match officials.
Brother Joy MP gave away the trophy to the winning team while Alexander Remedious gave the trophy to the runners up team.
Bardez Taluka sports organiser Anant welcomed all the guests and also proposed the vote of thanks.
