PANJIM: St. Britto High School, Mapusa topped the charts for top performers in school sports at the Bardez Taluka level for the academic year 2016-17.
The school won the State champions in the under-17 basketball, were State’s runners-up in the sepaktakraw and net ball in the under-14 and 17 category, State runners-up in the under-17 swimming and chess under-14 plus winners in many taluka level sports.
The school also bagged the first place in the elocution second place in the OBA quiz, first and second place in the Olympic quiz held at Merces, and competition held by Lions Club Calangute, and second in the team work, and other competitions.
The headmaster said that he was very happy with the performance since the school continues to impart an all-round development to its students.
He is grateful to the staff, coaches, students and parents for their constant support and encouragement given. With the help of the Parents Teachers Association and well wishers the school continues to provide better infrastructure facilities to its students.
