MERCES: St Caitan B thumped Carmichem Bhatt A 6-2 in the inaugural match of the Pogo Boys Cup organised by Pogo Boys, at Our Lady of Merces church ground, Merces, on Monday.
Carmichem Bhatt A opened their account in the second minute through Sahil and doubled through Sudeep from a well distanced strike.
Carmichem Bhatt again went ahead as Rohit headed off a cross to make it 3-0 at the lemon break.
Post resumption, Carmichem Bhatt A started on an attacking note and Rohit scored his brace to make it 4-0.
St Caitan reduced the margin through Adit and Delton Furtado.
Within few seconds, Prakash Chari of St Caitan made it 5-2.
Sahil of Carmichem Bhatt A scored to take the final tally to 6-2.
St Caitain tried their best to get back in the game but fumbled with their chances.
