PANJIM: St Caitan, Merces downed Amravati Sports Club 2-0 in the final of 2nd All-Goa 5-a-side football tournament organized by YUVA (an NGO from Mala).
Denzil Franco, India international footballer was the chief guest while Dr Rufino Monteiro, president YUVA and Chairman GFDC; Cedric Vaz (EDCON), Manoj Patil, Ashok Patil, Dinesh Sinari, Sanjay Prabhu Chodnekar and Mihir Agshikar other dignitaries.
Franco, congratulated St Caitan team for their victory, he appreciated the work done by YUVA in social as well as sports for people in Panjim and extended whole hearted support for YUVA in future.
Dr Rufino Monteiro, president of YUVA whilst congratulating the finalists for their splendid performance promised to have a bigger and better tournament next year on the new surface for the ground promised by Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar and urged youth to join YUVA and its activities in social space for betterment of society.
Raghuvir Mahale, vice-president welcomed the gathering while Gayatri Bhingi, secretary compered and proposed the vote of thanks.
