CHORAO: St Caitan, Merces beat Bhumika Boys of Madel-Chorao to emerge champions of All-Goa football tie-breaker tournament organized by Grace Parish Youth of Maddel, Chorao at Madel church ground, Chorao.
St Caitan were awarded Rs 8,000 and a trophy while Bhumika Boys got Rs 5,000 plus a trophy.
Individual prizes — Best goalkeeper: Pritesh Vernekar. Best shooter: Ciriaco Colaco.
Armando Colaco was the chief guest and gave away the prizes in the presence of Fr Almir De Souza, Fr Gabriel Coutinho, Pandari Vernekar, Rama Kubal, Shrikrishna and Salvador Fernandes.
In all, 67 teams participated. Father Almir De Souza welcomed. Father Gabriel proposed the vote of thanks.
