Donald Roucha’s hat-trick helped St. Cruz Club of Cavelossim to crush Sinquerim Sports Club 8-1 and enter the semi-finals of Kingfisher Beach Football Challenge tournament sponsored by Kingfisher at Colva beach on Sunday.
Elix Rodrigues and Remmy Colaco scored a brace while Shawn D’Costa added his name into the scorers list for St Cruz.
In other quarter-final match, Varca Sports Club defeated Faria Sports Management 3-2 in extra time. At full time the teams were locked 1-1.
Sao Minguel de Taleigao trounced Vailankanni Arambol Sports Club 5-2. Vanancio Gonsalves 2, Cedric Pesto 1, Augustin Rodrigues 1 and Vandhan Hatlekar 1 scored for Taleigao. Jason Fernandes and Jovito Fernandes reduced the margin for Vailankanni.
Goa Velha Sports Club got the better of Goa Police Sports Club 3-1. Joy Gonsalves scored a brace while Crux Gomes found the net for Goa Velha. Paresh Morje reduced the margin for Goa Police.
