MAPUSA/MARGAO: St Dominic Savio SC, Calvim registered a 4-2 win over El-Shaddai Charitable Trust Assagao in the GFA’s U-16 football league match, at Duler Stadium, here, on Wednesday.
The Calvim side went into the breather leading by two goals.
Sydney D’Mello drew the first blood scoring in the fifth minute with a neat placement while Rohit Dotad netted the second goal in the 38th minute from outside the penalty box to make it 2-0.
On crossing over Manjunath and Rajshekar Natekar scored for El-Shaddai to make it 2-2.
As the match progressed Calvim side scored two more goals with Rohit netted his brace and Allan D’Souza heading the ball home to take the score tally to 4-2.
At Quitula ground, Assonora United drubbed Sporting Club Porvorim 13-0 margin.
Assonora were leading by 2-0 at the breather.
Yuvraj Gad and Nehal Shinde did most of the damage as they hammered five goals each.
Deptesh Naik, Akash Kundnekar and Sunil Desai scored a goal each.
At Varca ground, Sirlim SC defeated Churchill Bros SC 1-0 with the match-winner scored by Shambalwga Thapa.
At Curtorim ground, Manora YC defeaed Salcete
