MAPUSA: St Dominic Savio Sports Club, Calvim edged past Quitula Sports Club 2-1 in Bardez Zone GFA 3rd Division League match at Quitula ground, here, Sunday.
Calvim got off to a dream start as Satish Gaonkar registered a quick brace in the ninth and 13th minutes.
Crossing over, Quitula managed to pull one back as Adison Fernandes converted a penalty.
At Chapora ground, Vailankanni Sport Club, Morjim hammered Sai Avatar Sports Club, Anjuna 5-1. Morjim led 4-0 at half time.
Cedric Rodrigues (2), Melwin D’Souza and Sakharam Samant scored one each while Clyde Fernandes netted the fifth goal in the second session. Deeraj Salgaonkar scored a consolation goal for Anjuna.
At Tivim ground, Goan Warriors Football Club held Assonora United Football Club to a 2-2 draw.
M Abel netted a brace for Goan Warriors while for Assonora colts equalized through a brace from M A Franco.
At Moira ground A A de Moira and Guirim Youth and Cultural Sports Club were locked in a goalless draw.
