PANJIM: St. John, Benaulim blanked Aldona Whites 2-0 in the under-12 boys Inter Centre League match of Vodafone-Goa Football Development Council at Monte ground, Beanulim, Sunday.
Player of the match Melfred Pinto and Brewen D’Silva scored a goal each for their side.
In another match, St. Sebastian, Benaulim managed to hold Aldona Yellows to a goalless draw. Anford Fernandes of Aldona Yellows was adjudged man-of-the-match.
In under-10 boys, Fr. Jose Vaz, Benaulim trounced Aldona Attackers 6-0.
St. Anthony Benaulim and Aldona Shooters settled for a 0-0 draw. Sheetal Karmonkar was adjudged as the player of the match.
In under-12 girls, both the matches ended in a draw. Maria Pearls Benaulim managed to hold Moira Ambitious A in a 0-0 draw, where Firla Goes won the player of the match award.
Maria Diamonds and Moira Ambitious B ended in a 1-1 draw. Rebecca Coelho of Ambitious B was adjudged as the player of the match, who scored a goal for her side.
At Navelim ground, which is an exclusive centre for girls, two matches were played in the under-12 category.
In a close encounter, Young Strikers, Navelim scored a solitary goal victory over Nightingales A, Khandepar. Chelsea Castro scored the lone goal.
Vidya Gaude of Nightingales A was adjudged as the player of the match for displaying some fantastic skills throughout the match.
Super Seven, Navelim managed to hold Nightingales B, Khandepar to a 0-0 draw. Sweta Pashupatihal of Super Seven won the player of the match award.
At Don Bosco Farm High School ground, Sulcorna, in under-12 boys, Valpoi Redbacks pipped Red Bulls Sulcorna 1-0. Mousen Patla scored the winner. Muren Cruz was player of the match.
Valpoi Strikers thrashed Tigers Sulcorna 5-0. Adil Agra, who scored a brace was adjudged player of the match. Lukman Shaikh also scored two goals while Alvas Shaikh netted one.
In under-10 boys, Valpoi Football Heroes defeated Yellow Cheetahs 2-0. Taqueer Khan scored both the goals and was adjudged player of the match.
Valpoi Jolly Boys thrashed Pink Panthers 4-0. Fardeen Khan, who scored a brace, was player of the match. Shifran Shaikh and Uwais Shah scored a goal each.
In a one sided under-12 girls match, Valpoi Lourdes Super Stars demolished Silver Penguins 7-0. Lisfa Naikwadi, who scored a hat-trick, bagged the player of the match award. Pranali Sawant, Khazima Shaikh, Sher Khan and Khatija Sayad scored one each.
