DABOLIM: KTM, the European racing legend conducted the first ever “Orange Day” for the Goan customers at GO Kart, Nuvem, Saturday.

The “Orange Day” is conceptualised to provide the customers an opportunity to experience the genes of KTM Dukes.

Around 100 KTM riders from across the State came to witness the “Orange Day” and 30 of them have already participated in the different events.

There were classroom sessions and demonstrations for riders on the tracks and the riders also got a chance to interact with the fellow KTM Duke owners. There were separate races organised for the 200 Duke and 390 Duke customers.

Till date KTM has organised “Orange Day” at Goa, Pune, Mumbai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Noida, Chennai, Vadodara, Jaipur, Kochi and Delhi.

Speaking on the occasion, Amit Nandi, KTM Head India informed that, “the KTM brand has its roots in racing and we want KTM owners to experience the thrills that a KTM bike can provide on a race track.”

Nandi further added, “The Orange Days are being conducted in every major city and will keep on growing in scale in the next few months.”

“KTM is an exclusive premium brand and we are keen to ensure to provide three customers an experience that is uniquely KTM.”

Gaurav Rathor, head of sales of South and East India stated that KTM was launched in India in the year 2012 and Bajaj auto owns 48 per cent stakes in the KTM worldwide.

 “The Orange Day is basically an initiative to give the riders (who own KTM Duke) freedom to check the bike with full protections such as jackets and guards,” added Rathore.

“We are doing very well in Goa as we have more than 50 per cent market share in its segment compared to R15 and Honda CBR,” stated Rathore.

Basically, the Orange Day is meant to be the official launch of the KTM Duke 390 which is a global product costing Rs 2, 6,667 on road as compared to other variant Duke 200, which is almost Rs 1,50,000 on road.

KTM Duke 390, which is launched globally is also being launched in India, is manufactured jointly by KTM and Bajaj in Charkand, Pune and supplied to 76 countries across the world.

And now the customers will not have to wait for long as the delivery waiting period days has been shortened to few days. And there are almost 100 bookings for the Duke 390 which shall be delivered shortly to the customers.

KTM are also planning to launch new series in smaller version of the RC series shortly.
