FATORDA: St Joseph Educational Institute, Chandor got the better of Infant Jesus High School, Colva 2-1 to move into the next round of the Subroto Mukherjee U-14,boys football tournament organised by DSYA, at Artificial turf Fatorda, on Saturday.
Ashwell Peoxote and Shawn Clement netted a goal each for St Joseph in the 34th and 50th minutes respectively while Rosville Barbosa pulled a goal back for Infant Jesus in the 51st minute.
In another match, AIM Salcete High School, Rumdamol-Davorlim defeated Bloomz International High School, Nuvem 4-1 to move into the next round.
Sufyan Mohammad Shaikh netted a goal each while Afreed Shaifulla Kharehagan netted a brace for AIM. Arhaan Khan pulled a goal back for Bloomz.
