MAPUSA: St. Joseph’s Boys Home Calangute (boys) and Sisters of Adorers- Thivim(girls) emerged as winners at the 7th Inter Club Lions Sports Meet for the Underprivileged children, organised by Lions Club of Anjuna in collaboration with Lions club of Assagao, Arpora-Nagoa-Parra, Mapusa Suburban, Mapusa, Panjim, Porvorim, Calangute, Candolim, Chodan and Sankhali, at St. Joseph’s Boys Home, Calangute.
A total of 170 children from St. Joseph’s Boys Home, Calangute, Sisters of Adorers, Thivim, Moving School, Arpora, El-Shaddai Charitable Trust, Saligao and Shanti Niketan, Assagao participated in the sports meet.
Chief Guest MJF Lion K. Sasindran Nair-District Governor gave the prizes in the presence of Bro. Joseph-Director of St. Joseph’s Boys Home, eleven club Presidents and Zone Chairpersons.
Trophies, certificates and medals were given to the winners by all the former Region Chairpersons, Zone Chairperson and Lion Members.
