MARGAO: A brilliant hat-trick from Vinoshka Fernandes helped St Jude’s HS Betalbatim beat St Anthony’s HS Majorda 3-0 in the inaugural match of the 1st Chowgule Sports Centre U-15 Girls Futsal Cup organised by YFA in partnership with The Kings School, at Chowgule Sports Centre, Margao, on Friday.
In the second match of the day, The Kings School romped past Regina Marytrum HS Assolna 9-2.
Kartika Rawat scored five goals, Sania Trisha Cardozo and Lillian Fernandes scored a brace each.
Lillian was the star performer as she grabbed 5 assists to her name also. Kiara Fernandes bagged a brace for Regina.
Infant Jesus HS Colva wasted numerous chances before finally edging past Saviour of the World HS Loutolim 2-1.
Heena Mulla scored both the goals for IJHS. Meliza Gomes scored a consolation for Saviour of the World.
Fatima Convent, Margao had an easy outing against Rosary HS Navelim. Meloshka S. Carvalho was the star performer in the 7-0 victory as she netted 4 times, Paloma R. Pires scored a brace and Swellan M. Fernandes added her name to the score sheet.
