St Michael Boys up..

rnSt Michael Boys, Orlim registered a narrow 3-2 win over Guardian Angel, Sanvordem  to march into the semi-finals of  Gumboots Boys football tournament organised by Gumboots Boys of Orlim at church ground, Orlim on Wednesday. They led 2-1 at half time.
rnSt Michael Boys started the opening session on a whirlwind fashion with Maclino putting them in front.
rnStung by the early reverse, Guardian Angel made several attempts at the rival citadel  but the Orlim defenders were equal to the task as they kept the Guardian Angel  attackers at bay.
rnGuardian Angel fought gallantly and levelled the score through Victor who slotted past the rival goalkeeper with a snap shot.
rnSt Michael Boys regrouped quickly and took the fight to the rival camp and were rewarded when Denzil made it 2-1 with a stiff grounder.
rnGuardian Angel started the second session on an aggressive note, called the shots against the rivals and found the equaliser soon after resumption when Victor punted the ball to the far corner of the net.
rnWith time running out, St Michael Boys made their last ditch effort which paid dividend with Desmond Fernandes unleashing a beautiful snap shot which caught the rival goalkeeper napping.
