RAIA: St Michael’s Convent High School, Anjuna, downed hosts Perpetual Succour Convent High School, Navelim, 2-0 in the U-12 girls football tournament in memory of founder Fr Faustino organised by Perpetual Succour Convent High School, Navelim, at school ground, recently.
Hina Sheikh and Arya Redkar scored one goal each for St Michael’s Convent High School.
While in the U-10 boy’s football tournament, hosts Perpetual Succour Convent High School defeated Mount Mary’s High School, Chinchinnim, 5-4 via tie-breaker after a goalless draw at the full time. Dr Fenton de Souza (medical officer for AIFF & FIFA) was the chief guest and gave away the prizes to the winners and runners-up in the presence of Sr Berna Rodrigues, SFN (Superior General), Sr Hilda Lopes, Sr Libia Fernandes (Headmistress) and other dignitaries.
