PANJIM: St. Michael’s Higher Secondary School, Taleigao downed St Alex Higher Secondary School, Curtorim 3-1 in the U-19 boys football final, in the Don Bosco Higher Secondary School Jubilee Year All-Goa Sports Extravaganza, held at Don Bosco premises, Panjim, recently.
In the inter-school and higher secondary staff football final, the home team emerged victorious against Our Lady of the Rosary, Navelim after registering a solitary goal win.
In the U-19 girls basketball, Don Bosco HSS defeated Our Lady of the Rosary HSS, Dona Paula 46-1 to emerge champions.
Churchill Alemao was the chief guest for the closing ceremony and gave away to the prizes.
Earlier the tournament was inaugurated by Arjuna Awardee Bruno Coutinho in the presence of and Fr. Chrysologus D’Cunha SDB, Fr. Savio Gomes, principal of Don Bosco HSS, Jerson Colaco, PE teacher and other dignitaries.
