DRAMAPUR: St Rock YC, Majorda, got the better of Don Bosco Oratory, Fatorda, 5-3 to lift the 43rd St Joseph Festival football tournament, organised by Dramapur SC, at Dramapur ground, on Sunday.
Majorda led by 2-0 in the first half. Majorda netted a goal each through
Kevin Almeida in the 10th minute and Josley Dias in the 22nd minute while
Bevan D’Mello netted a brace in the 45th minute and 50th minutes respectively.
Lenny Vaz recorded his name on the scoresheet in the 55th minute for Majorda while Fatorda’s Maxwell Furtado netted a brace in the 42nd and 60th minutes.
Hanslum Furtado netted a goal in the 57th minute
The Winners were awarded Rs 50,000 plus trophy while the runners-up received Rs 40,000 plus trophy.
Fr Agnelo Pinheiro, Parish Priest of St Joseph church, Dramapur, was the chief guest and gave away the prizes in presence other dignitaries.
