St Savio in finals

CALANGUTE, JUNE 13
Crowd pullers and hot favourites St. Savio Sports Club, Calangute scored a solitary goal victory over Valankani Sports Club, Arambol to book their place in the finals of Fr. Chico Cup inter-village football tournament organised by Candolim Sports Club and sponsored by Bayside Properties Private Limited at Dr. Gustavo Monteiro stadium, Candolim on Sunday.
In a keenly contested match, the teams fought tooth and nail.  The water-logged areas also made it difficult for the teams to play an attacking game. 
Sarvesh Korgaonkar, however, made amends for the misses of his colleague scoring off a neatly executed corner by Bruno Coutinho with few minutes remaining. 
Down by a goal, Arambol tried their best to level but failed.
