St. Savio Sports Club, Calangute trounced Clube Sao Minguel, Taleigao 3-0 to move into the semi-finals of Nagoa-Arpora-Baga Panchayat Cup Inter-Village Football tournament organised by Nagoa Sporting Club at Arpora ground on Friday.
After a goalless first half, St. Savio took the lead in the 39th minute through Vijay Parsekar who scored from a corner taken by Santan Rodrigues.
Down by a goal, Sao Minguel forwards mounted pressure on Calangute defense but failed to score. However, Sherwin Lobo doubled the lead for St. Savio in the 45th minute. Remy Fernandes added another goal in the 52nd minute to take the game away from Sao Minguel.
