PANJIM: St Savio SC registered a convincing 3-0 win over Goa United SA in the GFA U-16 Legue match played at Poriat ground, on Sunday.
St Savio were clearly the dominant side as they dictated terms with possession play.
They took the lead in the 17th minute when striker Jovito Fernandes on receiving a cross from the right flank, guided past the keeper to give his side the lead.
Goa United lacked creativity as all their efforts were foiled by St Savio defence.
Meanwhile, St Savio doubled the lead at the half hour mark through Jovito who completed the brace.
Changing ends, A Lamani scored the third for the winners.
Meanwhile at Navelim ground, CRSC Navelim defeated Verna SC 3-1.
Velon Rebello scored a brace and Moises Andrade scored the third for the winners while Mossin Sharif scored a consolation for Verna.
