MAPUSA: St Savio Calangute Sports Club defeated Anjuna Gymkhana 4-1 via the tie-breaker to move ahead in the St Anthony’s Cup, organised by St Anthony’s SC, Marna played at Siolim ground, on Thursday.
The crowd experienced a much entertaining match with both sides having equal opportunities but both failed to score.
Calangute had almost opened their account in the 53rd minute but the Anjuna keeper’s brilliance denied the lead for Calangute.
The match ended 4-1 in favour of St.Savio Calangute.
