FATORDA: St Sebastian, Murida blanked Dongorwaddo 4-0 to lift the Don Bosco Oratory late boys memorial trophy, at DBO ground Fatorda, recently.
In the second minute, St Sebastian’s Franjoy Furtado’s shot hit the Dongorwaddo post and went out of play. In the next minute, Franklin Araujo of Dongarwaddo shot wide.
Later in the ninth minute, Murida striker Marrison Dias’ header missed the Dongorwaddo net.
In the second half, St. Sebastian netted through Franjoy Furtado with a placement shot in the 25th minute.
Four minutes later, St Sebastian doubled the account through Franjoy Furtado. Minutes later, Franjoy Furtado made it 3-0 for St Sebastian.
With two minutes left for the final whistle, Franjoy Furtado netted his fourth for St Sebastian, Murida.
The winners collected Rs 15,000 while the runners-up received Rs 10,000 plus trophies.
Fr. Paul D’Souza, Rector of Don Bosco College of Engineering, Fatorda was the chief guest who gave away the prizes to the winners and runners-up in the presence of other dignitaries and club officials.
