MAPUSA: St Sebastian Vaddo B triumphed over St Sebastian A, via the tie-breaker, to win the 7-a-side inter-sector football tournament, organised by St Jerome’s Parish Youth, Mapusa, at the church ground.
The match ended 2-2 in regular time, with goals from Aires Fernandez and Nihal Karaswada for St Sebastian A, and Edwin Viegas and Paulo Fernandes for St Sebastian B.
In the resultant tie-breaker, St Sebastian Vaddo B proved to be better shooters.
Fr Agustin Alfonso, the Priest Youth Animator, presided over the prize distribution. St Sebastian B were richer by Rs 15,000, while the runners-up had to settle for Rs 10,000.
