St Sebastiao Murida pip PVC Parra

CALANGUTE, JAN 4 St. Sebastiao, Murida prevailed over P.V.C. Parra 1-0 In the inaugural match of 3rd Reira soccer tournament organized by Saligao Sporting Club at Sporting grounds on Sunday. There was no score at half time.

St. Sebastiao, Murida prevailed over P.V.C. Parra 1-0 In the inaugural match of  3rd Reira soccer tournament organized by Saligao Sporting Club at Sporting grounds on Sunday. There was no score at half time.
St. Sebastiao Murida scored what ultimately turned out to be the match winner in the 5th minute of the second half through a freak goal scored by Cliff Barretto.
The first half was dominated by Parra who earned six corners and a full blooded shot by Peter kissed the crossbar and bounced into play in the 21st minute.
St. Sebastiao Murida earned only two corners in the first half.
The second half was equally contested with both the teams sharing six corners but Parra had the upper hand.
Both  goalkeepers, Imran (PVC Parra) and  Terence (St. Sebastaio) made brilliant saves during the second half. 
Parra had two opportunities to restore parity but they failed to find the net in the 29th and 30th minutes.
Both teams were reduced to 10 men each  as the players were red carded by the referee for indulging in body blows in the 21st minute of the second half. 
Earlier, the tournament was kicked off  by Director of Reira Group, Capt. N.K. Bhatia, who was later introduced to officials and players of  the teams.
