MARGAO: St Sebastiao Youth Club put up a strong display to beat Enfermos Sports Club 2-1 in the Goa Football Association Third Division League match, played at Artificial Turf ground, Fatorda.
Enfermos Sports Club were first to get on the scoresheet as Delroy Pererira scored at the half hour mark. In the 43rd minute, Clifton Gonsalves levelled terms for St Sebastiao. St Sebastiao scored the match-winner at the hour mark through Samson Dias.
In another match, FC Siolim registered a 2-1 win over Xetrapal SC, at Ghapora ground.
Ganesh scored a first half own goal to hand Siolim the lead. The goal turned out to be the only real action of the session.
Crossing ends, Xetrapal SC scored the leveller through Sandeep. M Noronha scored the match-winner for FC Siolim in the dying minutes of the game.
At Raia ground, Raia SC came from behind to register a thumping 5-2 win over PY Nuvem.
Danny Fernandes scored a fine hat-trick for the winners while Wilfred Gomes and Ubaldo Fernandes scored the other goals.
Swindon D’Silva and Max Colaco had given PY Nuvem a two goal cushion before they turned down the lead before the breather as Raia scored two quick goals to march into the second half on level terms.
In another match, an Inacio Menezes 11th minute self goal helped St Sebstian SC register a narrow 1-0 win.
