CANACONA: St Teresa of Jesus High School will clash with the last year winners St Anne’s Institute Agonda in boys section of the second Mandovi Parivar Rolling Trophy inter-school football tournament organised by Canacona Sports Academy, at Nirakar Sports Complex, Mashem.
In the first semi-final in boys section St Teresa of Jesus HS defeated St Anthony HS 4-2 via the tie-breaker.
The match ended in a 1-1 draw as Alroy Fernandes scored the first goal for St Teresa HS while Ralloy scored an own goal as the scores were levelled in the 39th minute.
In the ensuing tie breaker, Alroy, Kamlauddin and Ralloy scored for St Teresa of Jesus HS while Jonathan was the only goal scorer for St Anthony’s HS. St Teresa’s Alroy Fernandes was adjudged as the man-of-the-match.
In the second semi-final St Anne’s Institute defeated Government HS Sadolshem 1-0.
Floy Fernandes scored the solitary goal of the match.
In the girls section, St Anne’s Institute Agonda will battle with St Anthony HS Galgibaga in the final.
