Altinho in the semi-finals of the Inter-Collegiate Women’s Football Championship, organized by Goa University, at University ground, Taleigao Plateau, on Saturday, at 2 p.m.
In the quarter-finals, on Friday, St Xavier’s scored twice in each half for a comfortable 4-0 victory over Don Bosco College, Panjim. Desiree Pereira and Alicia Fernandes scored a goal each while Krisha Lobo netted a fine brace.
In another match, Govt. College Quepem grounded Fr Agnel College, Pilar 5-0 with Salma Fernades, Somaya Benkipur, Macrena Dias, Michel Castanha and Jenny Monteiro finding the target.
Carmel College, Nuvem thrashed Gaonkar College, Dharbandora 6-0. Rosehera AC secured a hat-trick, Lifa Tavares netted a brace and Yesilda Barretto scored the other goal.
SS Dempo College, Altinho trounced Rosary College, Navelim 3-0 after leading 1-0 at half time. Leena Gaunso, Candeia Figuereido and Indira Lamani were the scorers.
