MAPUSA: St Xavier’s Higher Secondary School defeated Our Lady of Lourdes High School, Valpoi-Sattari, by 3-1 margin in the semi-finals of North District U-17 Subroto Mukherjee football tournament, organised by the DYSA at Duler Stadium, here, on Thursday.
Kevin D’Souza, Atharva Kerkar and Marcus Fernandes scored for St Xavier’s while Pruthvi Mane pulled a goal for Lourdes HS. In the second semi-finals, Dempo Higher Secondary School, Cujira, won against Progress High School, Sankhali-Bicholim, by a 2-0 margin.
Granville Fernandes and Sharmad Kurade scored for Dempo HSS.
