PANJIM: Abhijeet Mandrekar, Siddesh Marathe, Jesmon Fernandez, Shashwat Mhapsekar And Adam Gonsalves helped St Xavier’s Higher Secondary School, Mapusa to clinch U-19 Inter-zone (North Goa) table tennis title after defeating Dempo Higher Secondary School, Cujira-Bambolim by 3-1 games .
St Thomas Higher Secondary School, Aldona settled for the third place.
In a girls category, Sharada Mandir Higher Secondary School, Miramar got the better of DM’s PVS Khushe Higher Secondary, Assagao by 3-0 games.
Deepali Desai, Sania Salekar, Saumya Sukhthankar, Nicole Ferrao and Shanaya Javeri represented Sharada Mandir Higher Secondary School, Miramar.
Purushottam Walawalkar Higher Secondary School, Mapusa managed to secure the third spot.
