FATORDA: St Xavier’s Higher Secondary School, Mapusa registered a solitary goal win over Fr Agnel Multipurpose HSS, Verna to emerge State champions of the U-17 Subroto Mukherjee boys football tournament, organised by DSYA, at Astroturf ground, Fatorda, on Friday.
The all important goal of the match was scored by Aditya Salgaokar in the 15th minute for St Xavier’s HSS.
By virtue of this championship, St Xavier’s HSS have now qualified to represent Goa in the U-17 National Subroto Mukherjee football tournament to be held in New Delhi.
