PANJIM: Minister for Sports Govind Gaude honoured Dr Nhehern Acharya, the international yogasana champion, for winning the gold medal at the 26th World Artistic Yoga Championship held in Buenos Aires, Argentina, recently.
He has achieved an astounding record of securing four gold medals in all events at this prestigious championship. Throughout his illustrious 10-year competitive career, Dr Nhehern Acharya has earned a remarkable tally of 28 gold, 5 silver, and 5 bronze medals at various National events and while representing India on the international yoga stage.
Dr Acharya has received recognition from various educational institutions where he pursued his studies and has been honoured as an outstanding sports personality by the Yoga Federation of India.
