MARGAO: United Club of Telaulim made light work of Young Boys of Tonca with a huge 7-0 win in the Goa Football Association Vedanta Women’s League played at Dramapur ground, on Friday.
Stessi Cardozo was the highlight of the day as she smashed in give goals including the injury time strike to score five goals in a single game.
The winners led 3-0 at the break Stessi opened the scoring in the third minute while Karen Estrocio doubled the tally for the winning side in the 20th minute.
At the half hour mark, Stessi completed her brace. In the second half, Rizella Almeia also got on the score sheet with a goal before Stessi smashed in three more goals.Francis Fernandes, former junior National hockey player, awarded the player of the match to UC Telaulim’s Stessi Cardozo.
